  1. Weather and What to Wear:
    • Singapore has a tropical climate with high humidity, and temperatures range between 25°C to 33°C (77°F to 91°F) year-round. Light, breathable clothing is recommended, along with a hat and sunglasses.
    • Bring an umbrella or a lightweight raincoat, as there can be sudden rain showers, especially during the monsoon seasons (November to January and June to September).
  2. Transportation
    • MRT (Mass Rapid Transit): The MRT is one of the most efficient ways to get around. It’s air-conditioned, affordable, and covers most of the city’s key attractions. For convenient navigation throughout the city, you may download the MyTransport App for public transport routes and timings.
    • Taxis or Private Hire Cars: Taxis can be flagged along the streets or at designated  taxi stands. Ride hailing applications also allow you to book a ride easily – ComfortDelGro, Grab, Gojek, Ryde and TADA.
    • Walking: Singapore is pedestrian-friendly, with clean streets and easy-to-navigate pathways.
  3. Language
    • English is widely spoken and is one of Singapore’s official languages. Many also speak Mandarin Chinese, Malay or Tamil.
  4. Currency & Payments
    • The currency is the Singapore Dollar (SGD). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but it’s useful to carry some cash for smaller establishments or hawker centers.
